At the end of a bandwidth test DSLreports shows a listing of (recent?)
speed tests performed by others claiming the same ISP as you (or being
detected as using the same ISP).
I'm looking at that list right now, and in the top spot is "reseaux @
Montreal-Est, QC, CAN" with up/down speed of 31.9m/998. The next is
"anon @ Quebec, QC, CAN" with 22.5m/397, and the same guy (reseaux @
Montreal-Est, QC, CAN) has several other results of about 17m/850.
While most of the top speeds are shown to belong to users in Quebec,
there are some in Etobicoke, Oakville, Peterborough and North York
showing about 10 mbps.
What service or technology (that Bell offers) is capable of DL speeds
of 10 to 30 mbps? And why are UL speeds capped at 1 mbps (a
ridiculous ratio given 15 to 30 mbps DL speed).
